Yield: 3 dozen

1/2 | cup | confectioners sugar | |

1 | cup | butter (no substitutes) | |

In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Using your hands, mix until dough forms a soft ball. Press into an ungreased 9-inch square baking pan. Prick dough thoroughly with a fork. Bake at 325 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut into bars while warm. Cool on a wire rack.
